I stood on the front veranda of the estate, breathing in the clean, sharp air. The security gates at the end of the driveway stood open, welcoming and secure. The estate was no longer a fortress built on fear and hidden secrets; it was a home, anchored in truth, resilience, and unyielding strength.
My phone buzzed in my pocket. A notification from the U.S. Attorney’s office: All indictments confirmed. Asset recovery complete. Case closed.
