Chapter 15 - Inside the Inner Sanctum

The subterranean bunker beneath Raven’s Ridge smelled of ozone, polished mahogany, and expensive Scotch. Through the reinforced glass walls of the central conference room, I could see them: Arthur Caldwell, Chad Kensington’s father, and three other elite billionaires who had spent decades treating human lives as disposable commodities.
They were frantically packing encrypted hard drives into leather briefcases, their faces slick with sweat as their financial empire continued to implode on Wall Street.
“The federal indictments are moving faster than our judicial assets can block them!” one of the executives shouted, slamming his fist onto the glass table. “Where is the contingency team?”
“They’re dead or captured,” a cold, smooth voice answered from the doorway.
The executives froze in unison, their heads snapping toward the entrance.
I stood in the doorway, my rifle lowered casually at my side, my eyes locked directly onto Arthur Caldwell—the architect of the cover-up, the man whose family had installed a false identity to protect a multi-million-dollar stolen legacy, and the man whose associates had ordered the brutal assault on my daughter.
Arthur’s face turned the color of ash. He backed away slowly from the table, his hands trembling as he stared at me. “Who... who are you? Security! Guard!”
“There are no guards left, Arthur,” I said, stepping slowly into the brightly lit room, my boots echoing like a death knell against the marble floor. “You built an empire on lies, stolen identities, and blood. But you made one fatal mistake.”
May you like
“What... what mistake?” Arthur stammered, his back hitting the mahogany wall.
“You touched my daughter.”
