Chapter 15 - THE ALPINES SANCTUARY

The Alpenrose Clinic sat high on a snow-dusted cliff overlooking Lake Geneva, a pristine, white-stone fortress shielded by dense pine forests and high security gates.
Under the cover of a thick mountain fog, Daniel didn't rely on local police. Armed with the silver USB drive and a federal extradition team coordinated through Interpol and Swiss Federal Intelligence, he arrived in a convoy of heavy black armored vehicles.
When the front security gates were breached by federal agents, the clinic’s elite private security force didn't even fire a single shot. The weight of the international arrest warrants sealed their fate before the engines even turned off.
Daniel walked into the opulent glass lobby of the clinic, flanked by Valeria and Swiss federal prosecutors. His leg was stiff from his injury, but he walked without a cane, his posture straight, his eyes burning with icy determination.
Dr. Hans Weber was found in his top-floor executive office, frantically feeding paper documents into a heavy-duty shredder while transferring encrypted digital files to an offshore server.
"Dr. Weber," Daniel’s voice echoed sharply through the room.
The older doctor froze, turning around. His face drained of color as he recognized the man standing in his doorway, backed by six heavily armed Swiss federal agents.
"Daniel Garza..." Weber breathed out, his hands shaking as he pulled off his wire-rimmed glasses. "You... you shouldn't be here. Rodrigo promised—"
"Rodrigo Alvarado was arrested three hours ago at O'Hare International Airport while trying to board a flight to Dubai," Valeria interrupted smoothly, stepping forward with a thick stack of Interpol warrants. "His assets are frozen. Lucía has given a full confession in Monterrey to reduce her sentence. You are entirely alone, Doctor."
Daniel walked slowly toward the desk, leaning down until he was inches away from the doctor's terrified face.
"Three years ago, you falsified my wife's autopsy report to cover up a sabotage on her vehicle," Daniel whispered, his tone so deadly quiet that the air in the room seemed to freeze. "And then you signed papers to lock my nine-year-old daughter and fourteen-year-old son in an asylum for the rest of their lives."
May you like
"It was just business!" Weber sobbed, dropping to his knees as federal agents moved in to handcuff him. "They paid me millions! I didn't kill her! I just signed the papers!"
"And those papers," Daniel said, watching the handcuffs click around the doctor's wrists, "just signed away the rest of your life."
