Chapter 14 - THE SILENT CLEANUP
Ten minutes later, unmarked black vehicles from Adrian’s private security division quietly arrived at the ruins. Evelyn Reed was stripped of her authority and escorted away in absolute silence, facing corporate espionage charges behind closed doors.
Adrian held the signet ring, blowing away a speck of dust. He turned to Grace, who was shivering slightly in the autumn chill.
"How did you know Evelyn was the traitor?" Adrian asked.
"This afternoon, when she was interrogating Victor," Grace recalled, "I saw her slip him a flash drive and whisper terms for his silence. An honest person doesn't act like that."
Adrian nodded, warmth blooming in his chest. "Your observational skills reflect the qualities of a true leader, Grace."

"Call me Adrian," he looked at her, entirely shedding his former ruthless persona. "From now on in this house, no one will ever look at titles the same way again."
