Chapter 16 - THE GATES OF COMPASSION (THE END)

A month later, at the main entrance of Whitmore House, a crew of carpenters finished dismantling the massive iron gates entirely, replacing them with low, graceful stone pillars adorned with blooming climbing roses. No aggressive guards, no ostentatious barriers.

Inside his study, Adrian stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching community leaders and foundation representatives moving freely across the expansive grounds to assist local families.

The door clicked open, and Grace stepped in holding two cups of hot coffee. Following his successful medical treatment in Boston, her brother was now fully recovered and preparing for university.

Grace handed Adrian a cup, standing beside him by the large window.

"Do you think everything has truly changed, Adrian?" Grace asked softly.

Adrian took a sip of his coffee, gazing out at the open, sunlit landscape.

"Yes, Grace," he replied, his voice deep, steady, and filled with profound peace. "Because a kingdom built on compassion never falls. And most importantly... we finally opened the doors within our own souls."
