Determined to use his restored fortune to prevent other families from suffering the same fate, David made a bold decision.
At a formal press conference held at the Municipal Courthouse—the very building where his life had hung in the balance six months prior—David stood alongside Eleanor, with Lily sitting proudly between them.
A dozens of reporters and news cameras flashed before the podium.
"Six months ago, I stood in Courtroom 4B as a desperate father facing six years in prison for trying to save my daughter's life," David spoke clearly into the microphones, his voice echoing with strength and conviction. "Systemic corruption and corporate greed tried to tear my family apart and leave my daughter to die."
He gestured to the young girl beside him.
"Today, I am announcing the establishment of The Lily Vance Foundation," David declared. "We are committing two hundred million dollars from the restored Vance Trust to create a permanent legal and medical aid defense fund. No parent in this state will ever have to choose between breaking the law and saving their child's life again."
