Chapter 18 - THE EVENING OF LIGHT

The night of the world premiere arrived under a brilliant, starlit sky.
The Grand Philharmonic Hall was completely sold out. Over two thousand guests—including world-famous composers, international journalists, and former board members who had stood by Julian—filled the velvet seats.
At 8:00 PM, the house lights dimmed to a deep indigo.
A single spotlight illuminated the center stage. The side doors opened, and Julian walked out onto the stage, pushing Maya’s wheelchair to the grand piano.
The audience burst into a warm, thunderous ovation that lasted for several minutes.
Maya locked her wheelchair brakes and adjusted her position before the ivory keys. Julian leaned down, kissed her forehead softly, and whispered, "This is your song, my sweet girl." He then walked to the side of the stage, standing beside Sarah and Maestro Chen.
The hall fell into a absolute, breathless hush.
