A wave of utter pandemonium erupted through the grand hall.
Journalists who had been invited to cover the charity gala immediately raised their cameras, flashes strobing across the room like lightning.
"Twenty percent?!" a senior board member gasped, clutching his chest. "The mysterious holding firm—The Winter Trust—that’s her?!"
"My mother passed away three weeks ago," Maya continued, her voice unwavering amidst the sea of shouting executives. "In her final will, she named me sole beneficiary of the trust. And as a major shareholder holding twenty percent of voting stock, I am exercising my legal right to call an emergency audit of the board."
Julian stared at his daughter in absolute awe.
She wasn't just Elena's daughter—she possessed her mother's brilliant musical mind and a terrifying, sharp intellect that had been forged in twelve years of quiet, meticulous preparation.

"You..." Marcus spluttered, his face turning a dangerous shade of crimson as two security guards hesitated, unsure of whether to obey the old chairman or the child who technically owned a fifth of the building they were standing in. "You little parasite!"
"Touch her, Marcus," Julian growled, standing up to his full height and stepping directly between his father and Maya, "and I will personally hand every internal audit file from the 2018 merger to the federal prosecutors before midnight."
