Chapter 20 - THE BLOODLINE SECURED

That evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting golden and purple light across the Pacific Ocean, Daniel sat in a rocking chair inside the quiet nursery.

Soft music played from a baby monitor on the nightstand.

Daniel held Noah in his lap, gently reading the final pages of a storybook. The toddler’s eyes were heavy, his long eyelashes fluttering against his cheeks as he nestled his small head against Daniel’s chest, holding tightly to Daniel’s thumb with his little hand.

Daniel leaned down and softly kissed the top of Noah’s forehead.

He pulled the golden locket from Surrey out of his pocket, setting it gently on the bedside table next to a photograph of Julian.

The shadow that had once fallen over the grand staircase of the Vance estate—the hatred, the greed, and the lies—was gone forever. In its place was a bond forged not just by blood, but by an unyielding promise of love, protection, and justice.

"Goodnight, Noah," Daniel whispered softly into the quiet room, wrapping his arm securely around his sleeping son. "No one will ever hurt you again."

Noah let out a soft, contented sigh, falling into a deep, peaceful sleep in his father's arms.
