Chapter 19 - THE REUNION OF HOPE

Spring returned to the valley once more, bringing blooming cherry blossoms and warm afternoon breezes that swept through the open glass doors of the Ferrante Estate.
In the grand garden courtyard, a quiet family celebration was taking place.
It was the second birthday of little Elena, but it also marked two full years since the day their lives were saved by a small smartphone.
The courtyard was decorated with soft pastel fairy lights and fresh flowers. Clara, who had been promoted to estate manager, moved between the tables with trays of homemade lemonade and pastries, while Mark laughed as he helped Mila erect a wooden playhouse in the corner of the garden.
Nico sat in a comfortable wicker chair under the shade of a flowering magnolia tree, holding Elena on his lap as she pointed happily at butterflies fluttering over the rose bushes.
Sienna walked out from the house, carrying a silver tray with tea and a slice of birthday cake. She set it on the small table beside Nico and sat down in the chair opposite him.
"She has your late wife Eleanor's eyes, Nico," Sienna remarked gently, watching Elena laugh.
"She has her spirit, too," Nico replied softly, a serene, peaceful look on his face. "And Mila has your courage."
Mila ran over from the playhouse, her hands covered in wood dust, holding a small polished oak plaque she had been carving with Mark's guidance.
"Look, Grandpa! Look, Mommy!" Mila cheered, holding up the plaque.

Engraved neatly into the smooth wood were three simple words: OUR SAFE HAVEN.
Nico took the plaque, touching the carved letters with gentle, trembling fingers. Tears of deep, quiet fulfillment shone in the old patriarch's eyes.
