Chapter 20 - EVERLASTING LIGHT

As twilight settled over the estate, the sky turned a brilliant shade of indigo and gold.

The garden lights flickered on automatically, casting a warm, magical glow across the glass walls of the manor. The heavy wrought-iron gates at the end of the long driveway stood open, framed by lantern light—a symbol of a home that no longer feared the outside world.

Sienna stood on the second-floor balcony, leaning against the polished stone railing, looking out over the quiet valley and the glowing lights of the city below.

Nico walked out onto the balcony, wrapping a warm woolen shawl around Sienna's shoulders.

"Thinking about the past?" Nico asked gently.

"I was thinking about how close we came to losing everything," Sienna admitted, looking down at her hand, where the silver Ferrante signet ring glinted under the moonlight. "If Mila hadn't pressed record... if you hadn't stepped off that elevator..."

"Truth has a way of finding the light, Sienna," Nico said softly, standing beside her and looking out at the stars. "Gavin and Marjorie thought power came from fear and deceit. They forgot that the strongest force in the world is a family that protects one another."

From inside the bedroom behind them came the sweet, rhythmic sound of Mila singing a bedtime lullaby to little Elena.

Sienna turned around, looking through the glass balcony door at her two healthy, happy daughters tucked safely under their warm blankets. She turned back to Nico, taking his hand in hers—a gesture of profound gratitude, love, and lifelong devotion.

The darkness that had once threatened to destroy them was gone forever, swept away by the courage of a child and the honor of a grandfather.
